The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is observed annually on November 29. This day was established by the UN General Assembly in 1977. The date was chosen for a reason: it was on November 29, 1947 that the UN adopted Resolution 181, which provided for the partition of Mandatory Palestine into two states - Jewish and Arab.

Goals and Objectives of the Day
This day is dedicated to:
Drawing attention to the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the creation of their own state.

Covering humanitarian and political issues related to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Supporting a peaceful resolution of the conflict in accordance with international law and UN resolutions.

Events
The UN and its agencies hold special meetings to discuss current issues in Palestine.

Cultural and educational events such as exhibitions, lectures and seminars are organized on the history of the Palestinian people and their struggle for rights.

The international community expresses its solidarity and support for the Palestinians through actions, rallies and diplomatic statements.
